Maintaining
Changing bodies, wear and tear, and STUFF.
The spinning wheel’s got to go round. Sooner or later, things will change; anything that moves eventually hits an expiration date. Bodies heal, and change shape over time. Prostheses don’t. Like all good things in life, prosthetic components need replaced from time to time. Nothing lasts forever. Your body will change over time as well; what happens when your body changes, and the part that connects your joints to you doesn’t? Odds are, you’ll need a new socket. Sometimes parts have to be replaced before the whole prosthesis does. Even human knees wear out and need replaced sometimes; prosthetic ones do too. And sometimes, you just have to replace some of your stuff. We’ll work with you to help ensure you have all that you need, when you need it.
Dollars and cents: Affording your care
Learning how to use a prosthesis takes time and effort. Figuring out how to pay for it shouldn’t. We have dedicated funding specialists on our team who will navigate the funding process with you. We’ll help you deal with all the paperwork, so that you can focus on… you.
